Dec 20, 2007, 15:53 GMT
Freetown/Nairobi - Three loud blasts rocked the Sierra Leone capital, Freetown, Thursday, killing at least 17 people and covering a downtown street in debris and body parts, the BBC reported.
It was unclear what caused the explosions, which knocked out a supporting pillar in a four-story building in central Freetown, trapping people inside.
At least one foreign national, a Lebanese citizen, was killed in the blast, the BBC reported.
