Report: Arrested "pirates of Ponant" related to Somali president

Paris - Four of the six Somali pirates arrested for kidnapping a French luxury yacht are related to Somali President Abdullah Yusuf Ahmed, the French weekly Le Point reported Monday on its website.
Le Point said their identities, as members of the same Darod- Majteen clan as the president, have been confirmed by several French government sources.
The report was published just hours ahead of a scheduled meeting between Ahmed and his French counterpart, Nicolas Sarkozy.
The six pirates were captured April 11, one week after hijacking the yacht Le Ponant and holding its crew of 30 for ransom.
They were arrested by a small unit of an elite French force after the ransom of about 2 million dollars was delivered and the hostages freed.
The suspects were transferred to France a few days later and an investigation was opened on charges of 'membership of a group of criminals preparing a crime,' which is punishable by a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
Le Point quoted a French military source as saying that the relationship of the four suspects to the Somali president was not ascertained until French diplomats asked Ahmed to allow their extradition to France.
The officer, who was not identified, said that attempts to have the captured pirates extradited were suddenly interrupted 'when Abdullah Yusuf Ahmed was informed of the names and dates of birth of four of the six pirates.'

I say you capture the warlord president as well in France and throw him in jail. What can they do anyway? I mean the Somalis. All I hear if how the government is fake and have no support in Somalia other than troops from ethiopia using them, so I am sure they would not mind. Capture him and throw him in jail.

In Africa, people are same tribe and same sub clan. Haling from
same tribe or clan does not necessarily mean being related to
each other. So, are these people came from the same tribe as
the president or are they blood relatives? There is difference
of the two.
I am sure the so called president is part of the pirates. He is in France to cover his membership in the group. Please, do not let him go. He belongs to ICJ to convict him.
The so called Somali president - C/lahi Yusuf- is the most dangerous warlord the horn of Africa has ever seen. His militia (his clans)men looted cities, raped children and now made lucrative business in kidnapping ships off the coast of Somalia. He's aware of that! now he's in France. Oh my God! You got the guy right at your door now. Please do not spare him or else he will keep continuing to kidnap more only to ask for ransom to run the war torn country. This lucrative business is part of the monies paid to the Ethiopians killing innocent people in Somalia and particularly Mogadishu residents who fled from their homes only to find the enemies at their door steps at the surroundings of the Somali capital.
This guy is a criminal warlord who's the biggest warlord dictator in Africa, Melez Zenawi, of Ethiopia's 2nd hand to try to run Somalia.
The United States outo not be supporting or associating it's self with pathetic petty dictators like Melez Zenawi. This Yussuf character is his trusted slave in Somalia.
And I would not be shocked if he is using this chaos in Somalia and the invasion of Ethiopia to make a quick 'buck' hijacking ships in the high seas of the area known as Puntland in Somalia in a quick get rich esqm before it is too late and you are abandoned by the American's and Ethiopia. Then he will make a run for it with the millions of ransom money.
Bring him to justice. The young men in the France jails are just his puppets doing what they were told to do. He is the man the French government is serous they should arrest the master planer behind it all and bring him to justice.
There is no doubt the so called somali-predident Abdullahi yeey is part of the pirates because these pirates came from the same tribe as the yeey he's aware of that and he's the one who encouraged them to kidnap ships off the coast of somalia.please jail him rest of his life behind the bars.

my opinion what ever Foreign people do on somali people i can say they are worth. because Ethiopians are killing somali nationals, french goverment is taking somali nationals to paris just like the slave trade.
But allah is Observing them and one day somali will live in peace just like somaliland people.
I think the pirates were financed by Abdullahi Yusuf. He used them as economic source for his political fund. It would be wise to investigate his part of kidnapping the ship. Many people know that he is part of the pirates in somali water.
French government should put Yusuf on trial.
I believe those people who has been captured in france military also they involve many other criminal and i would those people has to be punished, bring those people in to the jail maximo 15 years an dto deport back where they belongs to.

The French government should hand over Abdulahi 'murtad' Yussuf to the freedom fighters and REAL power on the ground in Somalia. Ethiopian masters wont be of much help to this coward Yussuf for much longer. Hand him over Mr. Nikoli so we can but his behind on trial for the attrocities the Ethiopian malitias committed in his name and that of his clan malitais who cook the dishes for the Ethiopians and wash their underwear.

Reer Dariskunool will be captured one by one soon, even if Abdulahi Yussuf runs away from them and Somalia all together (that is what shady figures and criminals like him almost always end up) its they that will end up paying the piper big-time. The French should put drop them into the shark infested waters off the Somali coast, say about 2 miles out, and let Allah decide who should be spared.
