Ghanaian beauty is the new "Face of Africa"
Nov 30, 2008, 10:58 GMT
Johannesburg - A 23-year-old Ghanian woman has become the new 'Face of Africa,' by winning a South African television talent show, and will receive a three-year modelling contract.
Kate Menson, who was discovered at a casting event in the Ghanian capital Accra earlier this year, triumphed in the show produced by the M-Net channel after being turned down in an audition two years earlier.
It is the first time a Ghanian has won the competition, which parades beauties from across the continent who hope to win the star prize - an estimated 50,000 dollar modelling contract.
