Two killed, nine injured in Algeria suicide bombing

Algiers - Two Algerian soldiers were killed and nine were injured Wednesday in a terrorist attack targeting a military patrol, the online edition of the daily El Watan reported, citing security officials.
Witnesses said a suicide bomber drove a white truck laden with explosives into the patrol near the town of Zemmouri, some 50 kilometres east of the capital Algiers.
The deadly attack was part of a customary increase in terrorist activity in Algeria during the holy month of Ramadan.
Also Wednesday, suspected Islamist militants attacked a police station near the eastern city of Tizi Ouzou, according to Algerian media. There were no reports of casualties.
However, one policeman was killed and seven civilian were injured in another terrorist attack, carried out late Tuesday in the city of Ain Defla, some 160 kilometres west of Algiers.
