Report: Gaddafi's personal nurse to return to Ukraine
Feb 26, 2011, 14:37 GMT
Kiev - A personal nurse to Libyan President Moamer Gaddafi is to return home to Ukraine, her daughter told Segodnya newspaper on Saturday.
Galyna Kolotnytska was still in the Libyan capital Tripoli and in good health, but widespread 'shooting and fighting' there had convinced her to come back, said Tatiana Kolotnyska.
Documents leaked in November by whistle-blowing website WikiLeaks papers cited US Ambassador to Libya Gene A Cretz as describing Galyna Kolotnytska as one of Gaddafi's closest associates, and suggested she and the Libyan leader might be lovers.
Kolotnytska, 38, has denied the allegation. She has worked for nine years for Gaddafi, who maintains a corps of female bodyguards because of his belief in their loyalty.
