Blast hits police headquarters in northern Nigeria

Monrovia/Abuja - A blast hit the police headquarters in the northern Nigerian city of Kano on Friday, Nigerian television reported.
It was not immediately clear what had caused the explosion and if there were any casualties.
Kano, Nigeria's second largest city, with a largely Muslim population, has been hit by a series of attacks linked to the radical Islamist group Boko Harasm in recent months.
