Boko Haram claims responsibility for Kano blasts

Abuja - The radical Islamist group Boko Haram announced to media Friday that it was behind attacks earlier in the day in the northern Nigerian city of Kano that left at least three dead.
The group claimed responsibility in a statement released to media Friday evening, Nigerian television reported.
The statement said the attacks were revenge for the recent arrests of Boko Haram members in Kano.
A 24-hour curfew has been imposed in the northern city.
