Nigerian reporter shot dead covering bombings

Monrovia/Abuja - A Nigerian journalist was killed covering Friday's bomb attacks in the northern city of Kano, media reported.
Television reporter Enenche Akogwu was interviewing witnesses of the attacks that left at least seven dead when he was shot.
The 31-year-old died at the scene.
'We condemn the murder of Enenche Akogwu and extend our condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues,' said Mohamed Keita of the New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists.
'Nigerian authorities must spare no efforts in bringing his killers to justice,' he said.
