Italy's Eni confirms Nigeria pipline attack

Rome - Italian oil and gas giant Eni confirmed reports on Monday that one of its pipelines in Nigeria had been attacked over the weekend.
'I can confirm the incident, which caused a small loss of production for Eni amounting to some 4,000 boe/d (barrel of oil equivalent),' an Eni spokesman wrote in an e-mail message to dpa.
The spokesman did not provide further details.
