Eight Boko Haram members killed in Nigerian police shoot-out

Dakar/Abuja - Eight members of Boko Haram were killed Tuesday in a shoot-out with police near the northern city of Kano, Nigerian television reported.
The operation lasted several hours, reports said. Police found weapons and explosives in the raid.
Several other members of the radical Islamist group were taken into custody.
