Three police killed in Nigeria's Kano

Dakar - Three policemen were killed in the northeastern Nigerian city of Kano Wednesday, according to witness reports.
Five armed gunmen stormed the home of Kano's police chief, killing three officers on the spot. A soldier was also killed, according to the witnesses, speaking to dpa by telephone.
Nobody has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, which bears the hallmarks of the radical Islamist group Boko Haram.
