Mandela hospitalization was "pre planned"
Feb 25, 2012, 10:46 GMT
Johannesburg - Nelson Mandela's admission to hospital on Saturday was 'pre-planned' and the country's former leader is doing well, a South African presidential spokesman told dpa.
'This was not an emergency admission. It was pre planned. He was suffering from abdominal pain, and it was a long-standing complaint,' said Mac Maharaj, the spokesman for President Jacob Zuma.
He added that Mandela was in 'good hands' and feeling well in a hospital in the northern Guatang province.
