Two dead in attempted Cuban plane hijacking

Havana - At least two Cuban military conscripts who had fled from their military unit attempted to hijack a civilian airplane in Havana on Thursday, in an incident that left at least two people dead, airport sources said.
The conscripts managed to get to the runway in a bus, and a shootout with police followed, leaving at least one attacker and one police officer dead, sources said.
The incident has not been officially confirmed by Cuban authorities.
