Bogota - At least five people were killed and 65 people were wounded during a New Year's celebration in northern Colombia, police officials said Thursday.
The victims were almost all members of the Indio ethnic group, the Kanukana, who live in Atanquez. It was not clear if the grenade exploded by mistake or was intentionally set off.
Police have offered a reward of 9,000 dollars for information that could lead to arrest of the person responsible.
