Heavy rain leaves 18 dead in Bolivia

La Paz - At least 18 people have died as a result of heavy rain in the Andean nation of Bolivia, local media reported Tuesday.
About 40,000 families have been affected by flooding as multiple rivers overflowed their banks, civil protection authorities said. Thousands of hectares of agricultural land was also under water.
In early February, heavy rain had killed 14 people.
