Sep 27, 2010, 19:58 GMT
Buenos Aires - At least 14 people died and five were injured in a collision between a lorry and a minibus in the central Argentine province of Santa Fe, the authorities said Monday.
The crash happened late Sunday near the town of Villa Ocampo, around 900 kilometres north of Buenos Aires.
The truck was hauling sugar cane and apparently driving without headlights. The minibus, carrying a folklore dance group and their families, crashed onto the lorry.
Several of the injured were in serious condition. All five are minors.
The minibus driver died in the crash, while the truck driver was arrested pending further investigation of the accident.
The minibus was overloaded and the driver reportedly had no licence to drive such vehicles.
