Mexico City - A mudslide on Wednesday in the rain-soaked mountains of southern Mexico left 12 people dead, authorities in Chiapas state said.

Wednesday's disaster followed a mudslide on Tuesday in neighbouring Oaxaca state, where 11 people were missing.
