Quake measuring 5.8 on Richter scale shakes Mexico

Mexico City - A quake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale shook central and southern Mexico on Thursday, the country's seismological service said, with no immediate reports of damage.
The quake, with epicentre about 50 kilometres east of San Marcos in the southern Mexican state of Guerrero, shook walls and made window panes rattle. It led to the preventive evacuation of several buildings.
Several helicopters flew over Mexico City immediately after the quake to assess potential damage.
The quake was felt in cities like Cuernavaca and Acapulco, which is located in Guerrero.
