Mexico City - A Mexican boy is set to graduate from university at the young age of 16, Mexican television reported.
'Wunderkind' Alexis Almazan is set to complete his psychology degree at the Universidad del Valle in Mexico City on August 18, Univision Noticias reported Wednesday on its website.
The teenager is also in the fourth year of a medicine degree at the Universidad Panamericana and is taking part in diabetes research at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
Along with his parents, he founded a centre for gifted children.
Almazan left school when he was nine. From age four, he had annoyed teachers with poor behaviour, learning difficulties and attention deficit as well as complex questions. He overcame those problems and got his secondary school diploma at age 12. Although he had offers to study at foreign universities, Almazan opted to remain in Mexico.
