Five dead after Christmas dinner at Mexico rehab clinic

Mexico City - Five drug addicts at a Mexican rehab clinic died from poisoning after eating their Christmas dinner, local media reported Tuesday.
A 15-year-old boy was among the dead. A further 37 patients were ill and in hospital in the central city of Guadalajara.
Oscar Mejia Gutierrez of the Red Cross said the food could have been contaminated with cyanide, though it was not clear whether the poisoning was deliberate.
The victims had eaten soy sausage, vegetables and rice for the Christmas dinner and became ill soon afterwards. One 55-year-old man died while still at the clinic.
