Mexico City - The Mexican Army rescued four kidnapping victims and arrested 14 suspects near the central city of Cuernavaca, the National Defence Ministry said Wednesday.
Three of the victims were under 18, and according to unconfirmed reports were in chains when they were found in Temixco, in the Mexican state of Morelos.
The Defence Ministry said a dead body was found 'half-buried' at the site, although no further details were given. According to media reports, only a male torso was found.
The authorities also seized 15 kilogrammes of marijuana, 500 grammes of cocaine and several weapons and stolen vehicles in the raid.
More than 45,000 people have been killed in Mexico over the past five years in incidents linked to organized crime, mostly in clashes between rival gangs.
