Too many stopsApr 17th, 2008 - 17:50:28

Seriously, the CN gov should learn a great lesson from this relay. Anyway, it is aleady too late, and there won't be a similiar event anytime soon if ever. The relay stops was considered solely from a optimistic and ideological angle (harmony bringing people together) instead, you get spit in your face. There are simplely too many wrong stops. On london and paris you might be tricked by the good bussiness relationship. san fran is well chosen and relay is fine. Tanzania and oman by comparison were the better stops. Despite friendship with Pakistan, but that country is too dangerous bc of terrorist attack. India should not be chosen for relay bc this country habors so many anti-chinese elements from its def min to the tibetans exiles. Sure, you have given face to india, but would india return the favor. as for thailand, there will be people protesting burma, but that is less serious than FT protest. In Malaysia, it should be fine. Indonesia should not be chosen bc of local racism against chinese people. Australia is okay but expect protest. Japan could go both way, the black van right wing might showup in force. The orderly jap society could be a plus bc no radical protestors. in both koreas it should be fine, but expect a few professional protestors. Vietnam should not be chosen as their gov has already shown to secretely encourage anti-chinese nationalism who were protest not about tibet or human right but territorial dispute. These are just honest predictions...
