A Thai soldier who was injured in an exchage of fire between Thai and Cambodian troops arrives at a hospital in the Si Sa Ket province, Thailand, 06 February 2011. One Thai soldier, one civilian and at least three Cambodians were reportedly killed since 04 February 2011 in exchanges of small arms and artillery fire along the the disputed border area of the Preah Vihear temple between Thailand's Si Sa Ket province and Cambodia's Preah Vihear province. The two countries' dispute sparks up since July 2008, when UNESCO declared the edifice a World Heritage site despite Thai objections. Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva insisted Sunday that Thai troops were not to blame for deadly border skirmishes with Cambodia, as fresh fighting erupted along a strip of disputed territory. The fighting, which started 04 February 2011, has killed two on the Thai side, one soldier, one civilian and injured 31 others as several villager houses damaged. Cambodian sources said their side has suffered three dead, two soldiers and one civilian. Both governments claimed the other side started the fighting.
