This is nothing more than a show put on before the international press by the Chen regime to avoid sanctions for human trafficking. The forced repatriation of the victims and lack of immigration courts is indicative of the state sponsored racism and discrimination that has come to symbolize the ROC on Taiwan.
NGO's and human rights groups who deal with human trafficking estimate that there are between 30,000 to 170,000 enslaved people on Taiwan nearly all of whom are legal immigrants who are being held against their will by Taiwanese with the full consent of the Taiwan authorities.
