If something like you meet a lady boy or katoey and are looking for some fun and perhaps sex too what do you think will happen once you get he-she back to your hotel room? It never happened to me(knock wood) but I do know some people to whom it did in fact happen. Most times it isn't too nice for the katoey. He-she usually gets a good, deserved beating. He-she knew what the gentleman was after and the katoey should have asked if the gentleman played on that side of the fence. He-she does know better so I feel no sympathy for the katoey. After all he-she more often then not gets to keep what money was given. They, the katoeys, should wise up and tell the man what is about to go down. This way they can spare themselves from a good beating!!

Many men would assume that all lady boys are to be 'discovered' once they disrobe. Not true, how could a man tell the difference if the lady boy has already had their entire gender reassignment surgery? Answer: You can't tell. I think men just don't want to believe that they couldn't tell the difference. After all surgery, he is truly anatomically a she. End of story and you can't tell. Amazing Thailand!

Lady boys or katoey have been around for hundreds of years in Thai society. In olden times, they traveled from village to village entertaining (singing dancing). In modern times they deserve the reputation they have acrued - they are bitchy, and very much the epitome of what some in the gay community would be called total 'queens'.But the one attribute that has come to symbolize this class of people most is they lie, they steal and they do anything to survive.Kind of reminds me of Dreamz from Survivor Fiji - not that he is a lady boy but same set of values - NONE!

I don't think you guys can judge another people, it is not right. It is very disturbing. You are not in their shoes so you never know what have they been through. No one can choose to be what they want eg. gender, looking etc.

Nobody 'deserves a beating'. That is extremely disturbing and there is no excuse for beating anyone.
