Thailand's new Miss Tiffany foresees "lady boy" premier

Pattaya, Thailand - Thanyaras Jiraphatphakorn, after predicting that Thailand may one day have a 'lady boy' for prime minister, was crowned the new Miss Tiffany Universe early Saturday morning at the country's oldest transvestite beauty pageant.
Judges awarded the 20-year-old Thanyaras - a Kasetsart University student whose real name is Disanee Jitrapajin - the Miss Tiffany Universe crown based on his 'charming lady-like appearance' and 'brilliant' answers to their probing questions.
In the intelligence contest, when asked whether its was possible for a 'katoey' or 'lady boy' to become a politician, Thanyaras answered, 'Sure, it is. In the future, there might be prime minister who is a lady boy.'
However, he added that much depends on whether Thai society can change their negative views of katoeys.
'Society should judge people by what they do rather than considering what sex they are,' opined Thanyaras.
'Today, society sees ladyboys as sinful people. What do think about that?' she asked the audience, which was packed with local and foreign men.
Thanyaras was crowned Miss Tiffany Universe 2007 at 12:30 am Saturday with runners up Pharavee 'Bell' Chatpakorn, 18, and Pimchanok Hongsopa, 21, both of them college students.
'The contest this year was most difficult to judge,' said Alisa Phanthusak, assistant managing director of Tiffany's Show Pattaya Company, the organizer of the event. 'I think she (Thanyaras) won because she answered questions very well and most people thought she was the cutest girl and her eyes look like those of real woman.'
The pageant was an outgrowth from the nightly Tiffany Show in Pattaya, a Thai beach resort situated 90 kilometres east of Bangkok that is best known for its swinging night life.
The Miss Tiffany Universe contest was launched in 1998 in tandem with the government's 'Amazing Thailand Year,' a publicity campaign that emphasized the country's unique tourist attractions.

If one does not know before, then they should be beaten
Many men would assume that all lady boys are to be 'discovered' once they disrobe. Not true, how could a man tell the difference if the lady boy has already had their entire gender reassignment surgery? Answer: You can't tell. I think men just don't want to believe that they couldn't tell the difference. After all surgery, he is truly anatomically a she. End of story and you can't tell. Amazing Thailand!
Lady boys or katoey have been around for hundreds of years in Thai society. In olden times, they traveled from village to village entertaining (singing dancing). In modern times they deserve the reputation they have acrued - they are bitchy, and very much the epitome of what some in the gay community would be called total 'queens'.But the one attribute that has come to symbolize this class of people most is they lie, they steal and they do anything to survive.Kind of reminds me of Dreamz from Survivor Fiji - not that he is a lady boy but same set of values - NONE!
I don't think you guys can judge another people, it is not right. It is very disturbing. You are not in their shoes so you never know what have they been through. No one can choose to be what they want eg. gender, looking etc.
Nobody 'deserves a beating'. That is extremely disturbing and there is no excuse for beating anyone.
If you are fooled by a ladyboy then take it like a man and say no thanks and go your separate ways or find out that she is better than any woman you have known.
If something like you meet a lady boy or katoey and are looking for some fun and perhaps sex too what do you think will happen once you get he-she back to your hotel room?
If you play with a ladyboy, place themselves in two position. as a shemale and as a male (note: you never put them as a female, their not female at all, they are a good quality piracy). But before have fun, makesure you are clever enough. Safety first for yourself and for your property.Yes they lie, cheat and steal but NOT ALL. Just realize that they need to survive and not all ladyboy got a better opportunity to work in proper job.

If something like you meet a lady boy or katoey and are looking for some fun and perhaps sex too what do you think will happen once you get he-she back to your hotel room? It never happened to me(knock wood) but I do know some people to whom it did in fact happen. Most times it isn't too nice for the katoey. He-she usually gets a good, deserved beating. He-she knew what the gentleman was after and the katoey should have asked if the gentleman played on that side of the fence. He-she does know better so I feel no sympathy for the katoey. After all he-she more often then not gets to keep what money was given. They, the katoeys, should wise up and tell the man what is about to go down. This way they can spare themselves from a good beating!!
