Stewardess gets her final wish - a pink funeral
Dec 23, 2007, 1:39 GMT
Singapore - A Singapore Airlines stewardess who wanted a 'cheerful funeral' with everyone in pink got her final wish, news reports said Sunday.
Close to 100 relatives and friends of Shirley Wong, 50, turned up in pink attire, the deceased's favourite colour, at the All Saints Memorial Chapel on Saturday.
'She told us to have a party, don't get too sad and everyone to wear her favourite cheerful colour,' The Sunday Times quoted Florence Wong, Shirley's sister as saying.
Before dying of lymphoma, the stewardess of 26 years also said she wanted to look glamorous in her coffin.
'We dressed her in her favourite pink floral top and also with her jewellery,' her 51-year-old sister said.
Pink had been Shirley Wong's favorite colour since she was a child.
The Hello Kitty figurine was also her among her favourites in shades of pink.
