Jilted bride sues runaway groom in Philippines
Feb 23, 2008, 8:35 GMT
Manila - A jilted young Filipino bride has sued her errant groom, who walked out on her in the middle of their wedding in a central Philippine city, a newspaper reported Saturday.
The Philippine Star newspaper did not name the bride or her errant groom, but said the aborted wedding ceremony took place on December 22 in Cebu City, 585 kilometres south of Manila.
The bride and groom were in the process of exchanging vows when a woman appeared at the back of the church and shouted her objection.
The groom casually walked out of the church and took a cab with the unidentified woman, while the wedding guests watched the scene dumbfounded.
The jilted bride has filed a complaint against her runaway groom before the city prosecutors' office seeking 549,630 pesos (13,571 dollars) in damages.

Man, that sucks. What could be the worse way to get dumped that be jilted at your own wedding? Poor 'bride'.
