Court clears 12-year-old girl to change sex
May 25, 2008, 4:41 GMT
Sydney - Australian officials said Sunday they would not interfere in a family squabble over whether a 12-year-old girl can have the hormone treatment needed to become a boy.
A Family Court judge ruled that the girl, who has thought of herself as a boy since she was four, could embark on a sex change.
Her mother had appealed to the court after her husband had objected to hormone treatment.
The court heard the father had sent his daughter a text message that read 'I want the little girl, not some girl that thinks she is a boy.'
The judge ordered that the child be issued a new birth certificate and passport that reflected her changed sex.
Minister for Families Jenny Macklin said the government would allow the Family Court to rule on the issue.
'I think we have to understand that these issues are extremely complex, so I don't want to go into the details of it,' she told national broadcaster ABC.

I agree. It's a sad sad age we live in. How a twelve year old gets her mind pumped full of enough crap to even think of such a thing is really sad.
And why is it so difficult to think that someone's body make-up took a wrong turn somewhere in development just as someone who is born without legs or other problems?? Don't condemn until you have walked a mile in someone else's shoes.

Oh my!! I am sure God is 'smiling' on Australia for this. If locusts and hail start, you may want to leave. Just another example of how the West has become morally deparaved, and must rediscover itself if we, as a race, are to survive.
