Fraud squad to investigate New Zealand foreign minister's party (Extra)

Wellington - New Zealand's Serious Fraud Office announced Thursday that it was launching a preliminary investigation into donations made to Foreign Minister Winston Peters' nationalist New Zealand First party.
Director Grand Liddell said he had reasons to suspect that investigations into two reported donations to the party may reveal serious fraud but the inquiries could also reveal there had been no wrongdoing.
