Relative refused bail over Melbourne crime family killing

Sydney - Double gangland widow Judy Moran was Wednesday denied bail after being charged over the execution-style killing of her brother-in law. Des Moran, 60, shot dead on Monday in a Melbourne café, was the last male member of the infamous Moran crime family. Judy, 64, whose two husbands and two sons number among the 29 killed in an 8-year turf battle over drug dealing in Australia's second-biggest city, has been charged with being an accessory after the fact in the murder of Des. Police allege she disposed of the getaway car. Suzanne Kane, 45, sister-in-law of slain Jason Moran, faces the same charge and was also refused bail. Kane's husband, Geoffrey Amour, has been charged with murder.
