Earthquake destroys 18,000 homes in south-west China measurement (3rd Lead)
Jul 10, 2009, 3:00 GMT
Beijing - An earthquake with a magnitude of 6 on the Richter scale struck overnight in south-western China, destroying about 18,000 homes, killing at least one person and injuring more than 300 others, state media reported Friday.
The quake damaged another 30,000 homes near the epicentre in Yao'an county in Yunnan province, the official Xinhua news agency reported.
It affected an area inhabited by 1.26 million people and could be felt in the nearby tourist cities of Lijiang and Dali.
At least 336 people were reported injured, including about 30 in serious condition, the agency said.
The quake struck at a depth of 10 kilometres below the ground with an epicentre 2,130 kilometres south-west of Beijing. It was followed by at least eight aftershocks.
It was initially measured at a magnitude of 6 by the China Earthquake Administration, but the US Geological Survey recorded the quake at 5.7.
More than 300 soldiers joined hundreds of police and civilians in the immediate rescue operation, state television said.
The Yunnan provincial civil affairs department allocated 20 million yuan (2.9 million dollars) in emergency funds and dispatched 4,500 tents, 3,000 quilts and other relief materials to Yao'an, the reports said.

I can predict earthquakes with 100% certainty. It's easy. All you have to say is: 'There's going to be an earthquake somewhere in the world, sometime.' See how easy it is? Amaze your friends, baffle your critics and win chicks with this technique.
Dearest “HO”;
Too lazy to do the homework within the confines of the blog = extremist Republican and Christian.
However -
actually making any kind of prediction based on lazy = divine genetic material, LSD or oxycontin enthusiast, or attracted to shiny objects that will get you an internship with LABI Limbaugh if you are under 12 and Haitian.
Breathe some oxygen. That ozone stuff has corroded your brain. To put it in language that you can understand: You are seriously f*cked in the head.
What HO;
The gifted Chinese clearly did much better with my cited earthquake warning than did the US and my Hurricane Katrina warnings. The main hurdle for you appears to be untrammeled and unregulated environmental rape and pillage to fill your bank account and give me a headache with your demon seed.
Check yourself into the nearest facility that has a rubber room. That way you can bounce off the walls without doing yourself any damage. Mind you, that would be physical damage. You brain hasn't changed from your last post. It is still seriously f*cked. Have you been smoking some of SP4's private stash?
Mo HO;
My bad! Go get your sugar daddy, leather daddy, birth mommy, helper monkey, or monstersandcritics.com supervisor to do your required home work while you fling brain droppings and dance on the Chinese victims.
Lazy, glutton, anti-China, and avoiding work on your employer's computer and 'use expletives (including f*** etc)'. monstersandcritics.com must be using prisoners or relatives.

With condolences to the good people of China from our global warming, the quake was predicted by me on 7/5/09 thanks to the good people at:
