Right council calls for release of Myanmar political prisoners
Oct 2, 2009, 15:04 GMT
Geneva - The United Nations Human Rights Council passed by a consensus Friday a resolution calling for the release of all political prisoners in Myanmar ahead of the 2010 elections.
No country on the 47 member body objected to the resolution, which also voiced concern for jailed opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi.
