Hong Kong immigration officer fined for sneak photographs of women

   Hong Kong - A senior immigration officer claimed stress at working at Hong Kong's airport had led him to take sneak photographs with his mobile phone up a woman's skirt, a court report said Thursday.

   Anthony Lo, 41, was chased and captured by security guards after he was spotted filming under the mini-skirt of a 20-year-old girl at one of the city's train station exits.

   Police found four film clips of different women taken the same day with his phone in December last year.

   Lo, a married man who has worked in the Immigration Department for 20 years, appeared in court Wednesday charged with behaving in a disorderly manner in a public place and was fined 4,000 Hong Kong dollars (516 US dollars).

   A report in the Hong Kong Standard said the court was told Lo had sought professional help for his psychological disorder which caused him to be depressed.

   He claimed he was under stress after being transferred to work at the airport and had committed the act when he could not control himself.

   However, deputy magistrate William Lam said Lo had known exactly what he was doing but spared a more serious sentence as the conviction could result in him losing his job and pension.
