Eight killed as bus collides with truck in Indonesia

Jakarta - At least eight people were killed and more than a dozen injured on Sunday when a passenger bus collided with a truck in Indonesia's East Java province.
The accident took place Sunday morning when the driver of the bus tried to overtake a vehicle in Tuban district and failed to avoid a cement truck coming from the opposite direction, Kompaas newspaper reported.
The bus was carrying 65 people from the East Java district of Probolinggo who were planning a pilgrimage to Kudus in Central Java, it said.
