Japanese gangster kills self after wounding debt-collectors
Nov 6, 2009, 11:54 GMT
Tokyo - A Japanese gangster Friday shot and wounded three debt-collectors before killing himself, news agencies reported.
The 62-year-old gunman opened fire on the trio as they tried to obtain money from him at a real estate agent's office in Yokohama, one of the wounded men reportedly told police.
Police later found the man, a member of the Inagawa-kai crime syndicate, slumped dead on a couch in the office. He had apparently shot himself in the head.
The debt-collectors, aged between 58 to 69, were wounded in the stomach and neck, but were said to be conscious.
