Nov 9, 2009, 7:36 GMT
Jakarta - Eight people were killed and five were missing after a landslide triggered by days of heavy rain slammed into their houses in Indonesia's South Sulawesi province, an official said Monday.
Nine people were also injured in the landslide, which struck a village in Palopo district Sunday, said Rustam Pakaya, head of the Health Ministry's crisis centre.
Floods and landslides are common in Indonesia during the rainy season.
