Wellington - Eight people, including a 6-month-old baby, died when a bus crashed in the Pacific island state of Samoa and police were looking for the driver who fled the scene, according to reports Wednesday from the capital Apia.
More than 20 others were injured, some seriously, when the wooden bus carrying more than 30 passengers, swerved off the road and overturned, Radio New Zealand International reported.
It was said to be the deadliest road accident in the country's history.
