Seven people injured in grenade attack in central Philippine city

Manila - Seven people were injured Saturday in a grenade explosion on a southern Philippine city, a provincial police chief said.
The explosion occurred before dawn in front of a construction supply store in Iloilo City, 490 kilometres south of Manila, according to Senior Superintendent Melvin Mongcal.
Mongcal said a man riding a motorcycle hurled the grenade in front of the steel gate of EGC Construction Supply in the village of Molo.
All the victims suffered shrapnel wounds and were being treated at a nearby hospital. Police were investigating the incident.
