Apr 23, 2010, 14:18 GMT
Hong Kong - A Sri Lankan businessman who molested three flight attendants on a single flight was beginning a jail sentence in Hong Kong Friday.
Halpita Acharige Wijith Thalis, 47, admitted to indecently assaulting three Cathay Pacific flight attendants on the four-hour flight from Singapore to Hong Kong on Tuesday.
Thalis, on a business trip with two assistants, touched a flight attendant's backside as she served passengers in the row in front, court was told Thursday.
'If you want something, ask me by name, but don't touch me,' the flight attendant told him. Thalis put up his hands and said 'sorry' before making a funny face, the court heard.
He touched the backside of a second flight attendant as she returned his jacket towards the end of the flight and elbowed the breast of a third as he got off the plane.
The three women alerted their manager and Thalis was arrested in the airport. He was jailed for 14 days and fined 15,000 Hong Kong dollars (1,932 US dollars).
