Indonesian maid jailed for filing false molestation complaint

Singapore - A Singapore court on Wednesday sentenced an Indonesian maid to eight weeks in jail for falsely accusing her employer's father of molesting her, a news report said.
Etik Sugiarti, 23, admitted that she had made up the story, the online edition of Straits Times newspaper reported.
After other maids told her that a police report of abuse could help her to change to a new job, she accused her employer's 66-year-old father of molesting her.
