Singaporean jailed for hurting religious feelings of Muslims

Singapore - A Singaporean was jailed for two weeks Friday for hurting the religious feelings of a Muslim couple by placing a card on their car windscreen with questions casting aspersions on the Prophet Mohammed, a media report said.
Andrew Kiong Kheng Kiat, 44, was caught on closed circuit television footage placing the card on the car in the basement car park of an apartment building on February 2, 2009, according to a report in The Straits Times.
Halinah Barudin, 38, found the card on her car windscreen. She and her husband Haji Mohamad Dahar Dollah, 40, had the condominium management view the footage of the closed-circuit television cameras. Dollah filed a report with the police.
Kiong admitted to printing 16 such cards and having placed eight on cars that he believed were owned by Muslims. He reportedly threw away the rest.
