Injured Clijsters withdraws from Beijing

Beijing - Three-time US Open champion Kim Clijsters is joining Serena Williams as an absentee at next week's China Open, missing the Asian showcase with an infection in her right foot.
World number one Williams has already given her regrets because of a foot injury and subsequent surgery she underwent after winning Wimbledon.
The joint WTA-ATP tournament from Monday is to feature Venus Williams, Maria Sharapova and Caroline Wozniacki on the women's side.
