Indian man killed in attack in southern Philippines
Nov 26, 2010, 6:58 GMT
Manila - An Indian man was killed and another wounded in an attack by suspected robbers in a southern Philippine town, a police official said Friday.
The victims were riding on a motorcycle when unidentified gunmen fired at them late Thursday in President Quirino town in Sultan Kudarat province, 990 kilometres south of Manila.
Town police chief Senior Inspector Celestino Saniel said the victims were long-time residents in President Quirino and were engaged in a money-lending business.
Saniel said investigators were looking into robbery as the motive for the attack since the victims had just finished collecting money from their customers.
