Chinese activist Ai Weiwei offered Berlin university post

Berlin - Arrested Chinese artist and activist Ai Weiwei has been offered a visiting professorship at Berlin's University of the Arts, the city's education authorities said on Wednesday.
Danish artist Olafur Eliasson, who is a friend of Ai, was due to give details of the decision later Wednesday, together with the university's president and a government official.
Ai, who had planned to open a studio in Berlin, was arrested in Beijing on April 3 - days after a high-profile German enlightenment exhibition opened on the city's Tiananmen Square.
