Philippine authorities arrest suspected American paedophile
May 23, 2011, 9:43 GMT
Manila - Philippine immigration agents arrested a US man accused of child molestation in his home country, a senior immigration official said Monday.
Kenneth Ramon Price, 44, was arrested last week in Antipolo City in Rizal province, 30 kilometres east of Manila, said Immigration Bureau intelligence chief Maria Antonette Mangrobang.
US authorities sought Price's arrest for jumping bail and fleeing the United States while facing charges of child molestation before a court in Arizona, Mangrobang said.
Mangrobang said the suspect had been hiding in the Philippines since July 2004.
