26 injured after 5.8-magnitude earthquake in China

Beijing - At least 26 people were injured Thursday when an earthquake hit China's northwest Xinjiang Uygur region, according to Xinhua news agency.
Three of the injured were in a critical condition.
More than 30 homes were destroyed in the quake, according to a spokesman from the local communist party.
The 5.8 magnitude earthquake hit at 6.06 pm (1006 GMT), according to the China Earthquake Networks Centre.
