Arrest warrant served against Philippine ex-president
Nov 18, 2011, 11:29 GMT
Manila - Philippine police on Friday served an arrest warrant against former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo but allowed her to stay in the hospital where she is confined due to bad health.
Police said Arroyo was with her husband and lawyers when she was handed the warrant at her room in the St. Luke's Medical Center in Taguig City in Manila.
'The booking will be done tomorrow because she's under stress now,' said police superintendent James Bucayu.
'We will not bring her out because of her condition, which is pitiful,' Bucayu added.
