Hong Kong policeman loses bullets and baton in Burberry bag
Nov 25, 2011, 4:17 GMT
Hong Kong - A Hong Kong police constable was under investigation Friday after he left his Burberry shoulder bag containing force-issued ammunition and a baton at a bus station.
Six bullets, a speed loader for a pistol, a baton and a can of pepper spray were inside the bag, which was found by a member of the public late Thursday.
Police had put out an alert earlier in the day to say the items were missing and appealed to anyone who found them to alert police.
A police spokesman said the bag's owner had been suspended from field assignments pending an investigation.
All police officers in Hong Kong carry handguns and ammunition.
