Cancer turns the last page in heartwarming Australian story
Jan 2, 2012, 5:17 GMT
Sydney - A cancer patient who touched Australian hearts with a YouTube birthday tribute to his wife that featured New Zealand's prime minister and Hollywood hunk Hugh Jackman died aged 36 in Sydney on Monday.
Kristian Anderson made the video clip two years ago after he was diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer.
It became a worldwide hit and led the Andersons, who have two young children, to be invited to the Sydney Opera House to be guests on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
Reflecting on his terminal illness in his final days, Anderson said: 'The truth being we're all broken, we're all cracked and what so many people see as a fault or a malfunction really is something to be considered useful.'
