Body of unidentified woman found in Sydney tree
Jan 14, 2012, 3:31 GMT
Sydney - Australian police were searching missing persons files Saturday after a body found 10 metres up a tree in Sydney last week remained unclaimed.
After the decomposing body of a woman was found Thursday, police said they did not suspect foul play.
Neighbourhood residents were alerted to the body by the smell.
'We never thought it would be a person,' Effie Maverovelis told The Sydney Morning Herald. 'We thought it was rubbish.'
